Throughout the summer and autumn 2020, in the middle of the covid-19 pandemic, one hundred and twenty five people in Warwickshire, UK, were offered the opportunity to explore their creative side with clay.
Coventry and Warwickshire Creative Health Alliance funded Sundragon Community Pottery to send out boxes of air-drying clay, tools and a booklet oxides and instructions.
Participants were from three years old up to into their seventies. Many were shielding, some were children who were missing school and their friends, other were delighted not to be at school.
